About Us

The number of people with dementia is growing and we want to help make their lives as normal and as positive as possible.

We work with families, health and social care staff and community groups so that they are able to respond confidently and positively to people with dementia in a way that maintains and enhances their dignity.

We're Award Winners: Dignity in Dementia was named runner up in the Living Well With Dementia Category of the Northern Lights Dementia Awards 2017 and won Cumbria New Social Enterprise of the Year 2015.

Community Interest Company

Dignity In Dementia are proud to be a Community Interest Company (C.I.C). This means any profits we make are re-invested to make the community more dementia-friendly.

Thank you to all of our funders for helping support the work we carryout:

The National Lottery Community Fund / Cumbria Community Foundation / The Freida Scott Charitable Trust / Postcode Community Trust / Arts Council England / Sir John Fisher Foundation / Cumbria County Council Community Fund/ The Eric Wright Charitable Trust/ Gateway Group / South Lakeland District Council
