“I just wanted to say that I thought the Dementia booklet was excellent and very user friendly, by far the best I have seen.” NHS Nurse

Family carers who we have worked with often tell us that they don’t feel qualified to provide care to their family member with dementia. Whilst some professional help is available, generally it is difficult to access on an on-going basis, and finding time to search for information on websites is too time-consuming.

Therefore, Dignity In Dementia has produced the ‘Dignity In Dementia Guide’ for family and friends supporting someone living with dementia.

We’ve tried hard to keep it simple and easy to follow, so that you can use it to:

  • Connect more effectively with the person you support
  • Help the individual living with dementia that you care for, to feel happier and more content
  • Help reduce instances of stress for you both
  • Help maintain the dignity of the person you support
